Peneda-Gerês National Park, the only National Park in Portugal, is a protected area located in the extreme north of the country.

It is one of the greatest natural attractions, for its incomparable scenic beauty, and for the variety of fauna (Iberian ibex, roe deer, garganos, wolves, birds of prey) and flora (pine, yew, chestnut, oak), having been considered a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

It is crossed by the "Lima River" and the "Cávado River", creating a series of incredible wells and waterfalls.
